Winter is fastly approaching- this week it feels like it’s already here.

I don't understand a lot of things, but one thing I definitely don't understand and sure I never will, is the love some people have for winter.

The only time that this weather is good, is on the weekends. You get to stay in, cuddle into your cocoon of duvets and forget about it!

But weekends end. And pretty soon you have to roll out of bed into -what feels like- mountains of clothes.

The one thing I truly hate about winter is the number of layers you have to wear just to try and keep the cold out. Your freedom of movement is restricted, clean clothes are something that does not exist (because you have to wear almost everything every day!) and don't get me started on the dreadful bathroom experience.

So I like it when an outfit is warm and all the good “s” words: simple, sophisticated and (s)warm. :).

I got quite the compliments from this outfit, and it was actually a planned blog post outfit seeing as we were going to take photos after work. So this I’ve tried and tested. I feel cozy and warm and the only layer I have is the jacket. It’s my simple short sleeve shirt from Zara, plain black jeans, boots, and a jacket.

You don’t need a lot to make winter look and feel good. Despite what the temperature might say.

A few weeks ago, I posted about winter fashion in New York. Mila Guy mentioned that a big winter fashion over there is wearing everything black, but with a somethin’-somethin’ to keep it interesting.

This is my take on NY style winter.
